Analyzing Relationships

Well here I am again discussing my opinion about relationships. I have very different views on relationships I believe mostly because of my culture and just the way I was brought up I guess. Moving on, this sort of contradicts my last blog on relationships but I just wanted to discuss it anyway because of some things that have happened recently. I really believe that it takes very strong people to maintain a long relationship. I think for the most part, many people end up moving too fast in the beginning because everything always goes so well and they are so happy but then in many cases, it messes things up later on in the relationship. For example, my sister just got out of a seven month relationship, which for her was a big thing because she had never had one that long before. I think many of the problems that she had faced in that relationship was the fact that things had gotten too serious too fast. The things that she had encountered in that relationship were at levels that in my opinion, should not even occur until maybe a few years of being together. I feel as though sometimes people get too dependent on each other in relationships and when one little thing happens where that person cannot be there for any reason, then many problems can arise. I know in many people’s opinions, when they are with someone that they really care about, they feel that they need to spend all of their time together and nothing else matters but their relationship. I know that many people do often realize that this is not good and then they give each other their space but what sometimes happens is that if the space is given for too long then for some, they drift off and think about finding new people and different things. Basically, the way I see it is that either way, it is hard to win because when you spend so much time with a person, you get sick of them but when you are away then you realize what your true feelings are and that you might not even want to be with that person. It can however be the opposite though because I know for some that when they receive the space, they start to miss the person they were they with and vice versa so then it is also a good thing because the space was successful and they can go back to the way things were. I really feel that it is very easy for things to get complicated and that is why as I mentioned before, a lot of the time things don’t work out because of everything moving too fast. In my opinion, I think that before people get on levels such as kissing or getting too close, it is important to really get to know a person. As some say, opposites attract, this is true but not to a real extreme. I feel that it is very important to have someone that is somewhat like you so they can understand you on certain levels. Then again, the opposite part plays a large role as well because you need someone that has different yet positive qualities that you may not obtain, so you can absorb some of them and balance yourselves out. Overall, the way I analyze relationships is most likely in some ways the same as others but although many people know that they shouldn’t move too fast, get too serious too fast, or even make a move on the first date, I know that many of us still do these things just because sometimes it is hard to control and it may come naturally to grow close to someone quickly. On the whole, my views may be different then others’ but to me they make sense and I try to follow them as well as I can.

Tupac’s Death

When looking back at Tupac Shakurs life I didn’t realize how he really died. Now since I have read this article I understand that Tupac may be alive. I could never put all the pieces of the puzzle together but I am a little convinced that he may be alive. In the book they said “that Tupac is dead and Makaveli is born”. But Makaveli is Tupac so he may be alive. In my neighborhood people always said “that Tupac never died he moved to the Bahamas they said he didn’t want to rap anymore so he faked his death”. Most people like I just did not want to believe that he was dead so we let all the stories get to our heads. Even if he is dead or alive I think will always be known as the best rapper of his time. Tupac created some music that helped me when I was not feeling to good. His music just attached to me mainly because he was coming from a situation similar to the one I live in. Tupac always had something about him that made everyone believe he was different, Tupac was shoot 9 times before he died so I thought that it may been a reason he didn’t want to be under the lime light anymore. Tupac made a song called “All Eyes on me” and this song is like one of my motivations to always do well in life because I know someone is always watching me when I am out in the public.

Advertising is Everything

Advertising is everything           

               Advertisements are all over the place. Advertisements have become so important that most newspapers, magazines, TVs, websites and radios stations could not exist without them. Advertising is how most of the money is made by these Medias. These days advertising is annoying in that when surfing the website for information other than advertisement a person encounters many of what we call “pop ups”. This type of advertisement works but not all the time. In other words, sometimes a product like nail polish for example pops up and as we all know that nail polish is mostly used by women. As a man I would not be interested in buying that for my own (maybe a man would buy the nail polish for a girl as a present?) because it’s a woman product. However, I would be interested if a pop up was advertising computers (laptops). Most of the time it really depends on the mood, sometimes people don’t have time to browse the pop ups because the have something better to do (research information for a music paper) or they don’t trust pop ups when it comes to entering a credit card number, because they think it’s a prank and the pop up will take more than their suppose to. People sometimes intentionally advertise products, but most of the time people advertise products or companies with out them knowing. For example, one day I was walking when all the sudden I saw a t-shirt that had a Pepsi picture on it. The fact that I saw that made me want Pepsi, so I went to the nearest store and bought Pepsi. The Pepsi Company did not pay the teenage kid that in a way advertised the product for me to buy. The teenage kid was just wearing a t-shirt to cover part of the body that most people cover. To estimate right know everyone (at home) is wearing a t-shirt that advertises a company. Mostly brand names like Nike, Tommy Hilfiger, and others. They are advertising the companies without any income being given to them. Think about it I am wearing a t-shirt that says “got milk?” well I am a media of advertisement to, I am advertising milk.

Where did the space go?

Home is suppose to be one of those places that make you feel comfortable at all times. It is suppose to be a place that you can go when there is nowhere else for you to be. A person is suppose to enjoy the time that they get to spend at home because not to many people can get to say they have a lot of time to spend at their houses. Home is where all of you things are that you need like: hair supplies, clothing, shoes, personals, and your favorite showering gels. Home is where you’re suppose to have a space to call your own, a place where you can have as much space as you want and need. This is how I use to feel about my old house. Sorry to say it but I don’t feel this way anymore. My new home doesn’t fulfill the most important quality…SPACE.

 Not to get me wrong I love my new home new home it’s a whole lot nicer than the old one. It has a built in stand for my computer, a dishwasher, new appliances, new furniture and sweet new bathroom that’s to die for. I know it sounds like I shouldn’t be complaining but its just not enough space in this house. I feel like everywhere I turn its always someone there, there’s always someone THERE!!!!

My old house was so much bigger. It had four bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a full basement. There was so much space everywhere. You didn’t have to see anyone unless you wanted to. We didn’t have a lot of fancy things but we did have a lot more comfortable things. You know things that a person can actually use in the house for instance the couch.

I know now that no one lives with use, we don’t need all that space anymore but at lease be more compassionate with the space. My new house is a townhouse with two bedrooms, one bathroom and a small basement. I know its not bad but it is when your mothers room is right beside your I mean right beside and she feels she can come lounge when she wants. I love my mother but she is two freaking close. I want to kick the person that designed this house. You can’t buy a private moment in this house. I use to always say how nice it would be to live in a more modern house with nicer things. I guess it’s true what the old folks say (you have to be specific when asking for something because you’ll only receive what you ask for). I know better now.

Should smoking be banned in public places???

 

 

People always debate about whether smoking should be banned in public places. Smokers of course do not see why it should be banned and non smokers say that is should be bad because secondhand smoking is very bad for their health. I personally am not a smoker but I believe that if smoking is banned. I mean yes smoking is dangerous but I am sure almost every smoker knows that and yet they still do it. I think that banning smoking will not do anyone any good. People will still smoke no matter what. Weed is illegal but people still smoke it! Drinking under 21 is illegal but teenagers still drink. I mean if smoking is banned, what is next? Not being able to drive your car because it will cause air pollution which also causes cancer! I do not think that it is fair to smokers. Can imagine not being able to drive you car? I mean they already pay taxes for it, I think that they should be allowed to smoke in public. I think that banning smoking will now solve the problem; it will just kind of silence the problem. I really think that if smoking is banned in public places then you will barley see any people in public, because according to a quick research that I did a lot of people are smokers. Restaurants, bars and clubs will seriously go out of business. To be fair, smokers should be able to smoke in public places. I actually think that some restaurants do a good job at separating the smoking area form the non smoking area. I go to champps all the time and we always sit in the non smoking area and I never really smell or see any smoke. There are other things out there that can be bad for you health. I mean the air is already polluted from cars and factories and that can cause lung cancer also. Basically I think that if smoking is banned in public places, people will not go to bard or restaurants or they will still smoke even if they know it is illegal

Well the previouse topic was relationships. Combine relationships and space and you get Myspace. LOL. I know your thinking that i’m gonna go way off topic and lose more points, well i’m not. Myspace is the perfect topic for such a discussion.

Myspace.com is a majorly international space for meeting new people, dating, friendships and other methods and reasons for communication. It is also an International apartment building, full of personalised spaces within it’s domain. Think about it when we all started our myspace pages it had a white background and some plain black lettering, no pictures or videos, and no friends to share it with. Then we used our personal styles and our own thoughts to develop and publish pages that were very personal and intimate.

Myspace.com is one of the top english laguage based and the sixth top in any language. It is international. From Australia, to North America m to Germany, To China, To Iceland , and many other exotic and distant places around this wonderful globe we call Earth. We get our accounts and find codes and secret techniques to make letters and marquee’s flow accross or rain down the screen. We choose the right song of the week to display how we are feeling and what we are about. We add pictures and friends to display who we like, what we like and how we like it to be displayed. Everything in that space, one page, is yours and you can do whatever you may wish with it as long as you are decent and moral.

I think myspace is ingenius. As a human being we all need to have our space. It’s a part of our basic instincts. When we are born we push things around, we adopt and adapt to where we are, the contents of the space we are in and we adjust it to how we want things to be. Well the makers of mypace have taken the elementary thought of personalization andcommunication and have made it available to the worldwide community of the tech generation ccausing an epidemic use of the site.

My myspace right now is being totally gutted and reconstructed. I took all the about me and profile information and scrapped it. I am becoming a new person and i am ready to let the world in. I am a person in a stage where I feel alone and i have a hard shell on display for all the world. I let that show in my page by adding a dark black on black on gray design for my background. I have updated my pictures and let the world see me now. I have change and everytime i do, so does my myspace page. I don’t care if it’s the music i’m into for the time or for the way my page is laid out. I may be feeling all ordinary one day and the next day i feel all together….

Spaces are an interior designers dream… my dream. I love to see any empty space and mentally deck it out with all the latest fads, trends, and craves. I have in my only one thing, a designers job is to interpret the space through the inspirations of the owner. I get paid every now and again to interior design on peoples myspace pages. I ask them a few questions and get a few samples of music, colors, and or graphic. When i get a sense of their personality i can become a great as the one and only Leonardo DaVinci, but only when i get there points and views. I interpret their space through their eyes as they may want it to look.
So i leave you with a thought what does your design say about you…..( be it fashion, your bedroom, or ur myspace page).

Relationships.

            There are many different types of relationships. The top ones that stick out the most to me are romantic and friendships relationships. These relationships can all be separate or they can be all intertwined into one huge ordeal. To me those are the worst type of relationships that anyone should be in, the all wrapped into one relationships. There tends to be a lot of added stress when someone is involved in a multitasking relationship. People start to feel cramped like they don’t have a space that is just theirs. Or they may feel like they can’t be themselves in front of the person. Therefore, I think that to relieve some of the stress that goes along with multitasking relationships keep all of them separate.

            I know that it is very hard to not mix these relationships because everyone always says that that the best way to have a great relationship when your intertwined into your mates life but I think people should just to keep them separate in order to keep the peace in their lives. When you have a romantic relationship I think that is when your trying to find the one you want to spend the rest of your life with. When you have a friendship relationship those are the people you can go to when there is a problem are they wont have a bias resolution because they are just your friends. When you have a work relationship those are they people that you want to help you build your career and you help them build there. Nothing more or nothing less that should be added. Unless your trying to devour any relationships that you have. I say this because that creates to many feeling that have to be controlled and not everyone can always control his or her emotions. For example, if you have two people that were friends first then decided to be in a romantic relationship then the romance ends the friendship has also ended right along with it because the friendship will never be the same afterwards. So remember to have some sanity in life keep these relationships separate.

Relationships 101

I would just like to openly apologize for posting this so late! Dance has just taken over my life and i rarely have free time anymore!

Relationships, how do we go about describing one? Well, we all go through the day with encountering at least one relationship, either good or complicated. Family, friends, significant others, what truly defines a good relationship from a bad one? Since we all come from different backgrounds, and have very different life styles, we will most likely never have a duplicate of the same one relationship.

In the movie we watched in class the other day, we saw how one family’s life had its ups and downs, and highs and lows! Can a brother and sister fall in love with each other? Can a man get his family back by faking a terminal illness? What about a Dad trying to prepare for the expected? I feel that movies really do teach us about life.

A brother and sister relationship can simply be described as a loving freindship that should last a life time. Is it bad to love your sibling in a way that our society does not accept? The answer can only rely within. Love is about sharing that part of you, that few will ever understand.  Love makes the world go round!

What if i told you i had an illness that will lead to my death in a few weeks. Yeah, some of you prolly would not care, but that is besides the point. Do we really only see what we have or had untill it is gone? A father is a figure that should always be there for his children and loving wife. Expecting his family to take him in after years of leaving them out in the cold is not the most pleasent suprise we want to be placed on our sholders. In the movie, the dad seemed to want to make everything the way life is supposed to end up. If he gets the girl or not really did not matetr to him, all he wanted was a relationship that he could call home.

My mom told me a saying that i keep with me everyday, “Always expect the unexpected.” All the boys dad wanted was for them to be safe. After his wife passed away, Chaz only had (for the meantime) a relationship with his 2 sons. He would always worry about the kids saftey, and worked their fingers to the bone. The day of the wedding, he never expected for his boys to get hit by a car. Luckily, they did not get hurt, but we can all see that Chaz needs to expect the unexpected.

i’M THINKING OF WHAT TO WRITE… 

This blog is wayy past due. I know. I say rather late than never. I didn’t just blow it off, I had a major dental accident. Very traumitizing and painful. Think crunchy peanut butter. lol. ouch!

I think for this spaces themed blog I will talk about my preferences for space. I am currently in the market for an apartment and have been into the subject any ways. So here goes.

 I am currently living at home with my mother and family. In total, there are 9 people living in a three bedroom house. I and my older brother are both seperately looking to move out. I have my own room in the back of the basement. It is a real room, not some curtain drawn back of the attic greg brady type set up. I have the necessities. A bed, Television, Radio, dresser, closet ( a portable from Family Dollar), and nice white walls. I guess the room is large, as it is rectangular. It’s measurements are like 25′ by 15′ or so. I like it, but after ten long years i think it is time to go out and get my own space.

I have been looking for good locations in the Greater Metro Detroit area and its surrounding suburbs. I recently found an area that is just to die for. Wixom, a little ole town I never heard of has everything I need.

I have found a couple apartment buildings that meet my specifications. I need a 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment. Complete with a kitchenette and dining area, living room and a patio or balcony. I prefer to be off the ground floor and have good heating, electricity, and water bill control. Well they offer all that and a pool.

The Village apartment building is perfect. Rent is $330.  For $330.00 a month I can get this.

Most importantly I can afford and enjoy the dwellings. I am planning to move in by February. I hope i meet the requirements for the blogs. Because this is my space to space transfer. I cant wait…. Moving out of my moms house for the first, and hopefully last, time is going to be a major step up for me. I have been in my mother’s watchful eye and soon i’ll be out and about my life. In my new apartment, In Wixom. LOL. I wonder who else in the class is in an apartment, do you think i’ll be homesick? Just a question.

Well, besides the fact I am CLEARLY posting this late (for reasons not really worth mentioning), I still really do not know what to go on for this topic. So I suppose I will just go on about the different realtionships we can find in life, aaaaand probably throw in one too many of mine.

We all need to realize that no matter where we go, atleast while we’re in college, we have realtionships that exist with those we run in to. Although I come from “down-river” (That is south of detroit for you lucky people) and most of a few of my friends have also moved on to attending WSU, we find outselves in a totally new soicety of possible friendships and possibilites. Coming from a School where I knew the same damn people for 4 years, and couldn’t seem to get rid of them, to attending a University where I will rarely see the same person in a class again (unless they’re in my program) is a relief for me. I’m not -exactly- saying that I hated highschool by any means, but it was sure not “the best of time” that everyone claims them to be.

I was captain of the swim team, I did tennis for two year (only to let my bad knee to get the best of me), did marching band for four years, and also didn’t jazz band for four years. Clearly you may be quick to throw on that “Band Fag” label, and be my guest. The best of my memories of those high school days come from my first 2 years of marching band and performing which, by the end of the competitve season, became your family. I love swimming, I’ve done it for 6 years total and hold both swimming and marching band close to my heart. Those that have tried both and stayed with it (if they enjoyed it) surely can look back and share some memories with close friends they still have today. Although I was one of the few, I was friends with, litierally, everyone in the band. Our marching band was a size of 110 at its max, and this is quite a large number of people to get along with. However, who really are these “friends” that we so casually give the name to?

College for me was a great time of finding out who my real friends are. Justin, Jeff, Jon, Jessica, Adam, and Casey, are now more than ever to be realized to be my true friends. Those that stay with you through the changing of high school to college life are truely your friends. Although the only ones I get to see often are Jeff and Justin, the rest we get to keep in touch through facebook. Those that we can somehow manage to keep in contact with will clearly be the ones who you can call in the event if your car breaks down, or someone there to talk to when your significant other leaves you. My now distinct circle of friends are just one of the few things that helps me get through this life of studying all the time while trying to hold a job and keep in touch with your friends. I almost hate to mention it, so I will keep it short, but it must be said.

I love my girlfriend Sarah. Without her, I do not know where the hell I would be mentally right now. I dealt with suicide when I was younger, years before I even met her, but never really got over it. I was in a solid 2 year slump untill I found her. I’m not saying that realtionships are everything, or that you need to be in one to be happy, but for some people they just need that connection with someone else to feel whole again. Once again, to keep this short, we have now been together for 2 years and I am ever so lucky to have met my “highschool sweetheart” and to be still with her today.

College brings about trying times to which we all must suffer through, but in the end we come out a whole new person who can rise above any challenge and deal witih many of the issues they have previously thought to be impossible.
