The article that I was commissioned to read talked about two rival gangs that banded together for the common good. If your lost, by all means stop me, because this just goes from weird to weirder. Not only did they call a truce to their feuds, but they also offered proposals to improve the city of L.A. in hopes of restoring all things physical and emotional. There were proposals for the neighborhood with ideas of repavement of sidewalks and pavements, renovating old, abandoned buildings, to landscaping. They had ideas for the economy through welfare, health centers, parks and recreation. They even went so far as to give ideas about enforcement. Have I lost anyone yet? No? Well done, you’ve made it past the hard part. Now comes the most terrifying thing of all. My ranting. *ahem*. WHAT? How do two rival gangs who were at each others throats a moment ago just suddenly say, out of the blue;
” Hey, why don’t we try something productive to ensure that the coming generation does not fall into the terrible fate that all this bloodshed has dealt?”
” Why, your proposal for a clean and healthy environment has perked my interests. Why don’t we dally on over to yon mafia owned pizzeria and talk it over a nice slice of pizza?”
Pardon my cliche.
But do you see what I mean? That sort of thing does not happen all the time. Pardon my paranoia, but this all seems like the gangs are just trying to put on a good face for the public just so they can pull something else. And since when do they care about enforcement? Besides the times they are avoiding the police, of course. This whole thing just seems to far fetched for me. I mean, Its nice that they want to help out, and the proposals they offer are a great idea ( such as increased lightning in alleyways, thats a good one), but the fact that two mortal enemies, who will face each other for all eternity over the course of history for one final climatic battle, would drop their weapons and tolerate each other. Makes no sense. Sheesh. Pardon my exaggeration back there, wanted to get my point across

You bring up valid points. Gangs giving advice to law enforcement would be like the Detroit Lions giving their opponents the play before they ran it. It just doesn’t make sense.
