Well first of all, I kinda posted this advertising thing an hour and a half late because of work, oops, my bad. Advertisement has been a big impact around the world, especially here in the United States. By the way, I really love the MasterCard commercials.…random fact…. Whether it is food, toys, clothes, or other material-wise items, we see advertisements almost everyday in our life. Some advertisements have a bigger impact than others. One commercial that I saw recently that I was amused by was the new advertisement on AXE…or TAG….body odor spray. You had four random guys…not model looking guys, but four average teenage boys, all had the brand of deodorant sprayed on them and were tested upon experiments. Immediately, there was a quick female response. And at the end of the commercial, the narrator stated that one of the boys was never found after having contact with the females lol…so basically that advertisement is saying that if you use our product, you will get girls, even though you are not hot =]. And of course that’s not true. Because umm cough, I know a guy who knows this girls friend who doesn’t use the AXE or Tag brands that still gets the girls =]. Usually in the “health and beauty” department, you see models using different products and advertising them. You rarely or don’t see at all an average girl using Pantene or Tresemme products. And the thing is…people buy them believing that they will look better with that product. Sometimes it’s true but sometimes it’s not. I, as a matter of fact, buy some products because I’m so amazed with the results. For example, Proactive states that their product is the best for acne because Jessica Simpson and Tyra Banks uses them and it works. But the truth is that Proactive is the same as Clearasil. They both have about the same ingredients to cure acne. One brand just uses good-looking people to attract more people into buying their product. Soo, basically what I’m trying to point out is that advertisement has a big effect on our society, also in other places around the world also. I even bought my car after I saw an advertisement on TV while watching “Heroes.”…well actually they said that they had good rebates and deals on 07 models lol.

woww i didnt even know that about proactiv!…I actually thought it worked pretty well cuz ive used many other things including clearasil and proactive actually did clear up my skin quite a bit. But I do agree with you…..they do just use good looking people to attract u to their products. I guess everyone uses their own judgment on whether to buy things or not. : )

There seems to be a lot of discussion about Proactive and Tag and Axe body spray…(and most of it seems to be hearsay as opposed to actual evidence). What gives?
actually i’ve used both clearasil and pro activ and I think that there’s a pretty big difference. ProActiv being the better of the two, but hey different people have different skin. nice post ronnie
better late than never right?
