In todays scoiety, especially in the west, there are fine boundaries placed between genders. There are many things that are frowned upon if someone attempts to break or crossover these boundaries. However, times are changing and slowly, but surely, so are the limits placed on men and women reguading their gender roles.
As time goes on, it is becoming increasingly harder to bound a man and/or woman into certain traditional categories. My mother made the most money in my house, considering that my father was absent. While I was raised predominatly by my mother and grandmother I turned out to become “correct”. Now while I myself am hetrosexual, I do not hate those dudes who…prefer the “company” of another dude. At the same time while having turned out straight, there are somethings I am apathetic to regarding thier feminine aspects. For instance, my favorite color is purple. Thats just how it turned out. I wear purple, I drink grape juice, and I like sapphires. Many people will consider purple a feminine color; I have learned not to care. Speaking of sapphires, in reguards to the topic, I plan on getting both my ears pierced. This is often a sign of bisexuality. My friends know I love women and love my girlfriend so why should it matter. Hell, I didn’t plan on getting studs in my ear neither; since I was a child I had an affinity for dangling earrings. I was never gay nor did I ever consider being it or that I could become it; Im just an eccentric person is all. I even speak in a sort of “seductive” tone at times that even I consider a bit girlish, but in my opinion it adds to my character and serves to augment my charm.
All in all, people are so adamant and stuck in their ways that they can’t open their minds to new things, but then again this is the same tired arguement thats always used; its just its so true why not use it? Just as household roles have changed over time, why can’t fashion, or style, or anything like that? Such trivial things should not be the deciding factor of masculinity or feminism.

I totally agree with you. You definitely have interests that make you “suspect” in the eyes of the homophobic and closed-minded, but, like you said, you know you’re not gay, so why should it matter, right? The sad part is that it does matter to some people, but you’ve gotten used to that fact and don’t care anymore…good for you

TW,
You know, Prince and I happen to be very close (in my mind) and he loves purple and is incredibly straight despite some flamboyant clothing choices that make your pale by comparison. Nice job.
